The internet is filled with a dizzying array of “women’s conferences”, but they are rarely considered in the same light as the many conferences dedicated to men.
It’s because women are often overlooked and under-represented in the tech industry that Google’s annual Women’s Conference is the largest women-focused event in the world.
Google’s event is held at the Georgetown University in Washington, DC, which hosts several major conferences.
It is one of the largest technology events in the US and hosts several large companies, including Apple, Microsoft, Cisco and Google.
The company has also invested heavily in women’s conferences in recent years, with $500m going to The Future of Women in the Information Age.
This year, Google has decided to make its conference a more inclusive space for women, to the tune of $150m, to “help to shape a future in which all women have the opportunity to be leaders in tech and the broader information industry”.
The company says that the conference will focus on diversity in tech, “including in our workplace and the wider industry”.
In a blog post, the company said that its focus was on “building an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and treated equally, and where we work together to achieve those shared goals”.
Google said that it would also be taking steps to “address the disproportionate number of women who work in technology and other industries” and said that “women and girls are underrepresented in tech at the national, state and local levels”.
The keynote speaker for the Women’s Leadership Summit is former Vice President of Google’s Information Security and Privacy team, Nancy Wertheimer.
Wertheim said that the focus of the event would be to help women “be better leaders and better entrepreneurs”.
“This is the right time for women to join the tech world,” she said.
“This will allow us to build a better future, to lead by example and to help build a more equitable and just world.”
The event will also highlight the impact that women have made on technology.
“Our conference will help to shape an inclusive workforce,” said the keynote speaker.
“It will focus not just on the role of women in technology but also on the impact they have had on the way the world works, and how they are changing the way we work.”
In an interview with Mashable, Wertherell said that she wanted the conference to be inclusive for all.
“If we are going to create a more open and transparent world, we have to make sure that everyone has a voice, not just the voices of women,” she told the site.
“And that includes men, and that includes women, and all of us.”
‘I think it’s a shame’ The event is part of a larger strategy Google is using to expand its presence in the area of women and gender equality.
The tech giant has recently released a new women-centric video series called Women in Tech, which has featured women as well as men.
“We’re going to talk about the people who are making big tech companies work better, and what we can do to change the way tech works,” Werther told Mashable.
“I think there’s a lot of good things to be said about women in tech.
But I think it is a shame that it is often underrepresented.”

Google’s plan is to host three separate events in 2019 and 2020, the last of which is to be held at New York University in April.
“The Women’s Summit will focus more on gender equality than ever before,” said Google.
“In 2019, we are launching the Women in Leadership Summit, which will bring together women in leadership and innovation and help to build an inclusive technology workforce.”
The company said it would be investing in more diversity and inclusion in the future.
“As we grow as a company and as we make more decisions, we will make more investments to help our employees, our partners, and our communities to be more inclusive and diverse in our work,” it said.
Google says that it has invested in women-specific programming for the company’s flagship YouTube channel.
The channel is now hosted on a women-friendly platform called Google+ for All, and will be launched with a video series on gender diversity.
The series will focus less on women in the workplace, and more on “women of colour, women of the internet and women of different backgrounds”, Google said.
But Werthehley said that Google+ was not the only way the company was taking a stance on diversity.
“They have also started a diversity platform called YouTube Women, which is going to have a lot more focus on female entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs of colour,” she explained.
