We know women’s fashion has gotten a bit of a bump in the polls lately, and we’ve all been waiting to see how it would go.
But, as we’re about to find out, we’ve also heard that a lot of women’s style forums have gotten a lot more controversial in recent weeks.
So what’s behind all the controversy?
The latest example comes from the popular women’s beauty forum Alyssa.
This week, it received a slew of complaints from people who claimed that some of its moderators were actively promoting a “misogynistic” and “misandrist” agenda.
These comments have been deleted, but they’re being shared widely on social media, and some users are blaming the women’s forums’ moderators for promoting a white nationalist agenda.
“It’s a misandrist agenda, and a lot will be written about that,” one woman who goes by the name of “Roxanne” told Recode.
“The fact that you guys are so vocal in support of this, is the fact that white supremacy is still so powerful in this world.”
“It just shows you how much it’s been normalized,” Roxanne continued.
“You can’t say anything about anything that isn’t going to be met with some form of backlash.”
According to the New York Times, some moderators have even suggested the women in question should be arrested and “re-educated” by a group called “The Resistance.”
“We need to make sure we don’t let the women that were affected by this get away with their crimes,” Roxane said.
“We’re not trying to be the good guys.
We’ve just been targeted.”
It’s important to note that this woman is not a “reformer” of any sort.
In fact, Roxanne’s posts are largely based on comments that have been made by people who have already been banned.
In some of her comments, Roxane even claims that “white women” have “been raped” by black people and “their descendants.”
While Roxanne herself is not an actual white supremacist, she is one of the most vocal voices defending white supremacy and the white supremacist movement, and her comments make her one of a small minority of white women who feel the need to speak out against the backlash.
This is what happens when you have a community that wants to use you and your words against you and you refuse to shut up about it.
Roxanne, who’s a “progressive” who has defended Trump and praised his “diversity,” has since been banned from Alyssas, but her posts have remained in circulation.
“Alyssa is just the tip of the iceberg,” Roxannas husband, Robyn, told Recodes.
“And people have started to notice the harassment that Roxanne and AlyssA have received over the last couple weeks.”
Robyn said that he and his wife have been constantly receiving abuse online for not allowing Roxanne to speak on their behalf, and for not following up on their complaints.
“I just want to keep Roxanne out of here,” he told Recoding.
“If she is going to get banned, that means that Roxannys wife is going home and having a baby.
Thats what we are supposed to be doing.”
The backlash to Roxanne has not only caused harm to the women who have posted her comments online, but also to those who have moderated the forums.
“They have been doing this for years,” Roxanna said.
But she also believes that Alyssahans comments are being taken out of context.
“People are saying things like, ‘He doesn’t even know what’s going on,'” Roxanne said.
“[I]t is like if she’s a woman, she can say what she wants.
If she is a white woman, [she can say] what she says, and you can say whatever you want to say.”
Roxanne believes that some moderators in Alyssawas forum have been using Roxanne as an example to “prove” that she’s “not a real woman.”
She also noted that Roxanna has a “history of being called out” for being a woman in the past.
“There’s a lot in the [revision] that people are saying, ‘Rox is a misogynist, and she’s not a real person.’
And [there is] some people that are saying that she is not white,” Roxanyne told Recoded.
“This has happened to a lot people that have done nothing wrong.
So, they just want me to get rid of Roxanne.”
And Roxanne says that some commenters have also made disparaging comments about her appearance.
Roxanyans wife has also been criticized for using her appearance to “show off.”
She told Recoder that some people have even called her a “skinny white woman.”
“They don’t know anything about me,” Roxanes wife said.
When asked whether she thinks
